Welcome
Our department offers BSc, MSc, and PhD degrees in chemistry and biochemistry. Read about
our undergraduate program, our graduate
program, or contact us directly.
Ongoing research at the University of Regina includes:
- Environmental Analytical Chemistry: identification and quantification pesticides in the environment
- Synthetic Chemistry: organic synthesis, asymmetric catalysis, metal-templated synthesis, property-directed supramolecular chemistry, organometallic chemistry
- Computational Chemistry: simulations of catalytic systems, molecular dynamics simulation, spectroscopy and excimer theory
- Molecular Biology: identifying the chemical signals used by cancer cells, elucidating biosynthetic pathways
- Biophysics: using microscopy and biochemistry to understand the structures and functions of cell membranes
For more details, visit our graduate research page. Undergraduate students in our programs also have many opportunities
to participate in research through summer scholarships and honours research.
The department will soon be moving to a brand new state-of-the-art research building.
Stay tuned for pictures of our new lab facilities.
